Lead
The symbol for lead is Pb. It is a soft, easily malleable type of metal. It is bluish-white in color only when sheared, but turns dull gray over time due to oxidation in air. Electrical conductivity is poor. It is used to store corrosive liquids (eg sulfuric acid) as it is corrosion resistant. The hardness value can be increased by adding a small amount of antimony or alloying with other metals.
